Lectotype (designated here by Aedo): [icon] " Geranium Aegypt. glaucophyllum, rostris longissimis plumosis " in Dillenius, Hort. Eltham. 1: 150, t. 124, f. 150. 1732.

Current name: Erodium glaucophyllum (L.) L’Hér. ( Geraniaceae ).

Note: A number of authors (e.g. Schönbeck-Temesy in Rechinger, Fl. Iranica 69: 45. 1970) have indicated unspecified van Royen material as the type. However, the only sheet traced in L that can be associated with this name (No. 903.278-317) appears to post-date Adriaan van Royen, and is therefore not original material for the name.
