Distribution. Nearctic. Canada: AB, MB, NB, NF, QC. USA: ME, NH (NSR), PA.

Collection and Habitat data. The NH specimens were captured from May to October by FITs, by sifting forest litter by streams, in leaf litter at birch sap drip, and in rotten wood. Also found by examining Russula mushrooms and a mass of mushrooms on a large stump. In Canada found in a variety of coniferous and deciduous forests. Adults were taken in various fungi, including fleshy polypore fungi, inside birch polypore ( Piptoporus betulinus (Bull.) Karst. ), gilled mushrooms, decaying coral fungi, and in a well-rotted fungus covered log. Some were found in compost (moldy corncobs and cornhusks, decaying vegetables). In NL specimens were obtained from pitfall traps in boreal conifer forests ( Klimaszewski et al. 2018).
