Distribution. Palearctic, adventive in North America, recorded from A/S ( Klimaszewski et al. 2021). Canada: AB, BC, LB, NB, NS, ON, PE, QC, SK. USA: AK, CA, MA, ME (NSR), MN, NH (NSR).

Collection and Habitat data. A ME female was found on an oak log in September, and a NH female was attracted to a black light in June. In AK specimens were found in a Picea glauca forest and on a dried carcass ( Klimaszewski et al. 2021). In Canada found in sugar maple, yellow birch, balsam fir, black spruce, mixed trembling aspen, white spruce, and white pine stands; in NB collected by Lindgren funnel traps in an old-growth northern hardwood forest, a red oak forest, an old jack pine forest, and in a rich Appalachian hardwood forest. In Europe found in Acer , Alnus , Betula , Carpinus , Fagus , Populus , Quercus , Ulmus , Sorbus , and coniferous forests. Two individuals from NB were sifted from a pile of fairly fresh corncobs and cornhusks ( Klimaszewski et al. 2021).
