Type species.- Jaggermeryx naida new species by monotypy.

Diagnosis.-As for species.

Etymology.- ‘‘Jagger’’ for Sir Mick Jagger, in recognition of his famous lips, and meryx’’ Gr. ‘‘ruminant,’’ a common suffix for artiodactyls.

Occurrence.-Early Miocene, Wadi Moghra, Egypt.
