Remarks.
Cyrnellus Banks contains 12 species in the Neotropical region, and is widely distributed in North, Central, and South America ( Morse 2022). Cyrnellus fraternus has a distribution from the USA to Argentina, being the most widely distributed caddisfly on the continent (see Holzenthal and Calor 2017). Currently, it has a known distribution in several regions of Brazil and in the Northeast is registered for the Caatinga and Cerrado domains ( Dumas et al. 2010; Takiya et al. 2016; Desidério et al. 2017). In this study the species distribution is extended, representing the first record for the state of Pernambuco.
