PRESENT STATUS: Bufo crucifer Wied, 1821 ( Rhinella crucifer in Frost, 2014).

REMARKS: Bufo cinctus Wied, 1823 , is the junior objective synonym of Bufo cinctus Schinz, 1822 , fide Myers et al. (2011: 9). The name Bufo cinctus was long in the synonymy of Bufo crucifer , which 5 Chaunus crucifer fide Frost et al. (2006: 364) but which now 5 Rhinella crucifer fide Frost, 2014.
