Sparnacian, early Ypresian, Eocene.
Type locality.
d’Orbigny (1850) gave "Antheuil (Oise), Soissons", Pacaud (2007) only “Antheuil”. Deshayes (1825), however, which the new name was based on, had only mentioned material from Soissons (along with occurrences of Melania costata mentioned in other works), France.
Remarks.
Introduced for Melania costata sensu Deshayes, 1825, non Olivier, 1804.
