Bembidium mormon Hayward, 1897: 110. Type locality: "vicinity of Salt Lake, Utah; Sherman, Wyo[ming]; California" (original citation), restricted to "Salt L[ake City] [Salt Lake County]" by Lindroth (1963b: 356). At least two syntypes [9 originally cited] in MCZ [# 16298].
Distribution.
This species ranges from the Okanagan Valley in southern British Columbia (Lindroth 1963b: 356) south to Inyo County in the Sierra Nevada of Califor nia (CMNH, MCZ, UASM) and southern Colorado (Elias 1987: 632). The record from southeastern South Dakota (Kirk and Balsbaugh 1975: 19) needs confirmation.
