Vernacular Names: Thaeler's Pocket Gopher.
Distribution: Serranía de Baudó (extreme NW Colombia).
Conservation: IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).
Discussion: Subgenus Macrogeomys . May be conspecific with dariensis (see Sudman and Hafner, 1992).
