Brailovsky & Barrera (2001a) keyed 16 of the 18 genera of Meropachyinae , including the three genera present in Colombia. Four species are recorded from Colombia, one of which is reported for the first time. There are no available keys to the four Colombian species and therefore it is necessary to compare with the type specimens and the original descriptions to identify them .
