Description. Integument of body granulate, largely covered with appressed scales of mosaic-like arrangement; scales not overlapping, each stretched over a granule in the center; elytra, legs and antennal scape additionally with sparse, suberect, claviform scales. Head short; with curved, transverse sulcus separating rostral base somewhat indistinct; vertex with radial furrows partly obscured by scaling. Eyes protruding, with coarse facets; separated from apex of prothorax by 0.6 X length of eye. Profile anteriorly with constriction. Rostrum. Dorsum medially with distinct furrow; apical declivity distinct, basally with appressed scales, subapically with suberect setae; dorsal profile subangulate. Antenna. Scape almost straight, weakly clavate. Funicle with length of article 1 and 2 subequal. Pronotum longer than wide; scabrous-nodulate. Metanepisternum extremely narrow, anteriorly with impression. Elytra subovate; with 10 regular striae; without tubercles. Legs. Protibia ventrally simple, not denticulate. Venter. Procoxae subcontiguous, separate by 0.03 X coxal diameter; distance to apex 0.4 X distance to base of prothorax. Mesoventral process trapezoid, 0.79 X as long as posterior width. Abdomen. Female ventrites 3–5 exposed, laterally slightly shorter than ventrites 1–2. Genitalia. Penis ( Fig. 12b View FIGURE 12 ) with apodeme firmly attached to body. Endophallus long, with flagellum.
