Nothes kombuisanus (Marshall)

Description. Lectotype ( Fig. 23a ). Length. Pronotum plus elytron 3.19 mm. Integument ferruginous; scales transparent, greenish. Rostrum shorter than wide (0.70 X), parallel-sided. Pronotum as long as wide (1.00 X). Elytra 1.17 X as long as wide; intervals with rows of erect, spatulate scales. Genitalia. Penis ( Fig. 23b ) with sides of body converging to apex. Apodeme broken at base.

Material examined. Type specimens. Male, lectotype by present designation: INDONESIA, Java Sea: Klein Kombuis Isl. [Thousand Islands, Bokor Is., S 05° 56.617´E 106° 37.850´], 27.I.1922; condition: fair; tarsus of right hind leg broken and missing; genitalia in glycerol in microtube; DNA extraction ARC4084 (no DNA detected, presumably degraded) ( BMNH).

Notes. Marshall (1925) based the original description on six males and four females; he did not designate a holotype. The round label stating “Type” has subsequently been added by the staff of the BMNH. A lectotype is designated to ensure stability of nomenclature .
