Idiopsodes setosapex (Heller) View in CoL

Description. Lectotype ( Fig. 28a View FIGURE 28 ). Length. Pronotum plus elytron 4.28 mm. Integument covered with appressed grey scales. Head with curved, transverse sulcus separating rostral base slightly concealed; vertex with radial furrows, covered by scales. Rostrum as long as wide (1.01 X), sides subparallel; apical declivity with sunk-in scales, with interspersed erect scales, subapically subglabrous, with sparse setae. Antennal funicle with article 2 longer (1.4 X) than article 1. Pronotum slightly longer than wide (1.11 X); coarsely punctate, squamose. Elytra 1.29 X as long as wide; dorsally convex; intervals with rows of erect, subclavate scales, long and conspicuous on apical declivity, short and inconspicuous near base. Genitalia. Penis ( Fig. 28b View FIGURE 28 ) with sides of body subparallel, subapically abruptly widened, forming spatulate extension, rounded. Apodeme 3.30 X as long as body of penis. Endophallus in subapical portion coiled, curved brownish portion containing microsetae. Transfer apparatus flagelliform, ca. 3 X as long as body of penis. Intraspecific variation. Length. Pronotum plus elytron 4.28–4.68 mm. Scaling grey or bronze.

Material examined. Type specimens. Male, lectotype by present designation: INDONESIA, C-Bali, Gn. Bratan, 1913, E. Stresemann; labels ( Fig. 28c View FIGURE 28 ); condition: fair; genitalia in glycerol in microtube; DNA extraction ARC4663 View Materials (not sequenced) ( SMTD) . Paralectotypes: 4 exx, DNA extraction ARC4025 View Materials ( GenBank # OR557441) ; same data as lectotype; 2 exx, Danau Bratan, 1913, E. Stresemann. Other material examined: INDONESIA, C-Bali: 1 ex, ARC3540 View Materials ( GenBank # LN866359) , Bedugul, Tamblingan, S08° 15.015´E115° 06.202´, 1200–1300 m, 06- XI-2007 ( SMNK) GoogleMaps .

Notes. In the original description, no holotype is designated and the number of specimens at hand is not mentioned. Five syntypes were examined. A lectotype is designated to ensure stability of nomenclature in case additional syntypes belonging to other species are found. The cox1 sequence of the lectotype and a specimen from Lake Tamblingan have a relatively high p-distance of 8.50% but no morphological differences could be detected .
