Remarks.
Replacement name for Melanopsis fuchsi Brusina, 1884, non Handmann, 1882 and Melanopsis hungarica Pallary, 1916, non Kormos, 1904, which were in turn introduced for Melania costata sensu Fuchs, 1870, non Olivier, 1804 (see also Strausz 1942; Neubauer et al. 2014a).
