Illustrated material. Adult shell, Nº. DGEO-CTG-UFPE-1505 ( Fig. 3A and B View FIGURE 3 ) and Nº. DGEO-CTG-UFPE-1506 ( Fig. 3C View FIGURE 3 ). Illustrated material from the Santo Antônio section sample at 2.65 and 3.55 m respectively.

Dimension. Nº. DGEO-CTG-UFPE-1505 ( Fig. 3A and B View FIGURE 3 ); L= (LV) 1.045 / ( RV) 1.373 mm, H= 0.69 mm, and W= 0.744 mm and Nº. DGEO-CTG-UFPE-1506 ( Fig. 3C View FIGURE 3 ); L= (LV) 1.045 / ( RV) 1.373 mm.

Comparison. Material compared to Pattersoncypris salitrensis (Nº DGEO-CTG-UFPE-1971 and Nº DGEO- CTG-UFPE-1166), described and deposited by Tomé et al. (2014) in the Ivan de Medeiros Tinoco Microfossils Collection of the Paleontology Laboratory of the Federal University of Pernambuco .

Occurrence and associated fauna. It was recorded in the Santo Antonio section, at the following depths (from base to top): 0.3; 1.8; 2.1; 2.25; 2.65; 3.4; 3.65; 3.85; 4.05 and 4.25 m. P. salitrensis is associated with all species of ostracods, except Dicrorygma ( Orthorygma ?) dimorpha Weiss and Theriosynoecum cf. quadrinodosum Krömmelbein & Weber.

Observations. The specimens recovered were compared to the illustrations of Pattersoncypris cretapa Krömmelbein & Weber , published in Do Carmo et al. (2008). Some similarities were seen, but a comparison between both specimens is necessary for a future synonymy of these species. The Santo Antônio site is one of the few sections that marks the boundary between the Aptian and lower Albian in the Romualdo Formation. It is worth mentioning that this species was not recorded in the lower Albian at this locality ( Araripe et al. 2022).

Stratigraphic distribution. In Brazil, distributed in the Araripe Basin, Santana Group (above the layers with fish occurrence), Aptian ( Krommelbein & Weber 1971; Bate 1999; Poropat & Colin 2012a) and Romualdo Formation, lower Albian ( Tomé et al. 2014; Araripe et al. 2021); Grajaú Basin, Codó Formation, upper Aptian ( Ramos et al. 2006); Potiguar Basin, Alagamar Formation, Aptian ( Do Carmo et al. 2008). In the present study, found in the Araripe Basin, Romualdo Formation, upper Aptian.
