MENORCA—Barranc de Santa Galdana 16.06.2003, 3 exx.; Cala Trebaluger 29.07.1980, 1 ex.; Compte (1968) quoted it from an old record but without giving any locality.

The Balearic specimens of P. algirica have been usually found on Quercus spp., Pistacia lentiscus L. or Populus alba L. (Petitpierre, 1985).
