D e s c r i p t i o n: ♀. Length 10-11 mm. Flagellum long and bristle-shaped, with 44- 47 flagellomeres; 1 st flagellomere 4.2-4.8× as long as wide and 0.5-0.6× as long as eye; preapical flagellomeres about square. Temple moderately and roundly narrowed behind eye. OED 1.9-2.5× ocellar diameter. Inner eye margins slightly convergent ventrally. Minimal facial width 0.7-0.8× eye length. Clypeus 1.6-1.9× as wide as long. MI 0.4-0.5. Mandible short. Hypostomal carina slightly elevated. Mesosoma with dense erected setae. Epomia distinct. Mesoscutum densely punctate, smooth and shining between punctures. Scutellum not carinate. Propodeum finely rugose; spiracle slit-shaped; apical transversal carina absent or ± developed medially. Hind femur 4.4-4.7× as long as wide. Hind claws long, moderately bent apically, with long teeth. Areolet stalked frontally, slightly oblique; vein 2m-cu proximad its middle; ramellus long; vein 1cu-a interstitial. Metasoma smooth and shining. 1 st tergite 2.1-2.3× as long as wide, with very sparse punctures laterally. 2 nd tergite 1.2-1.4× as long as wide. Ovipositor sheath 0.5-0.6× as long as hind tibia and 1.0-1.1× as long as 1 st tergite; ovipositor weakly bent upwards.

Color: black. Setae of mesosoma pale. 1 st tergite apically, 2 nd to 4 th tergites and sternites ± red, sometimes metasoma entirely brown or blackish ( var. alpinus ). Coxae and trochanters black; legs otherwise mainly yellowish-red; fore and mid tarsi often ± infuscate; hind tibia dorsally and apically ± infuscate; hind tarsomeres black, ± reddish or yellowish apically. Wings often ± infuscate; pterostigma ochreous or rufous.

♁. Flagellum with 47-48 flagellomeres; 1 st flagellomere 3.7-4.5× as long as wide and 0.5× as long as eye. Head and mesosoma with rather long erected setae. Minimal face width 0.8× eye length. Hind femur 4.5-5.2× as long as wide. 1 st tergite 2.1× as long as wide. 2 nd tergite 1.0× as long as wide.

Color: black. 2 nd and 3 rd tergites red. Coxae and trochanters black; legs otherwise reddish; hind tibia in apical half and hind tarsus black; 4 th hind tarsomere ± yellowish. Pterostigma ochreous.
