Genus Onychochaeta Beddard, 1891

Diagnosis: After Cordero (1945) and Righi (1971).

Irregular setae in eight longitudinal lines throughout the body or at least in part. A pair of intra-clitellar male pores. Three pairs of calciferous glands in VII-IX, tubular simple or tubular composite structure. The sexual system is holandric and metagynous. Spermathecae present ( Cordero 1945; Righi 1971).
