Female: (n = 5) Body spindleform, ivory-white, 185 (172–190) long, 74 (73–76) wide, 75 (72–77) thick. Gnathosoma 29 (28–30) long, projecting obliquely down, dorsal pedipalp genual setae (antapical seta) bifurcate. Prodorsal shield with frontal lobe, 49 (47–51) long, 57 (55–59) wide; median line complete, admedian lines incomplete, from anterior to 3/4 of shield; submedian lines incomplete; two transverse lines connect median line and admedian lines at 1/4 and 1/2 from rear; shield with granules. Scapular tubercles set ahead of rear margin, 21 (19–22) apart, scapular setae (sc) 23 (22–25) long, directed postero-laterally. Coxae: sternal line present, coxal area with granules, anterolateral setae on coxisternum І (1b) 4.5 (4–5) long, proximal setae on coxisternum І (1a) 12.5 (11–14) long, proximal setae on coxisternum ІІ (2a) 27.5 (25–29) long. Leg segments normal. Leg І 29 (28-30) long, femur 10 (10–11) long, basiventral femoral setae (bv) 13 (12–14) long; genu 4 (4–4.5) long, antaxial genual setae (l'') 21 (19–24) long; tibia 6 (6–7) long, paraxial tibial setae (l') 5 (5–6) long, at middle dorsal tibia; tarsus 6 (6–7) long; tarsal empodium divided, each branch 5-rayed, tarsal solenidion knobbed. Leg ІІ 27 (27-28) long, femur 9 (9–10) long, basiventral femoral setae (bv) 14 (13–15) long; genu 4 (4–5) long, antaxial genual setae (l'') absent; tibia 5.5 (5–6) long, tarsus 5.5 (5–6) long. Opisthosoma: middorsal ridge ending in a broad furrow before the termination of subdorsal ridges; each lateral side of anterior several opisthosomal annuli formed an arc projected from dorsal view; dorsal opisthosomal annuli 41 (40–42), smooth; ventral annuli 69 (67–71), with round microtubercles; setae c2 25 (23–27) long on ventral annulus 10 (9–11); setae d 45 (40–49) long, on ventral annulus 24 (23–25), setae e 18 (17–19) long, on ventral annulus 42 (41–43); setae f 24 (22–25) long, on 6th ventral annulus from rear; setae h1 present. Female genitalia 16 (15–17) long, 20 (19–21) wide, coverflap with basal granules and distal 12-14 longitudinal lines, proximal setae on coxisternum ІІІ (3a) 9 (9–10) long.

Male: (n = 1) Body 137.5 long, 54 wide; genitalia 19 wide, proximal setae on coxisternum ІІІ (3a) 7.5 long.

Type data: Holotype, female, Jinzhong Mt., 37 km SW of Longlin County (24°8´N, 105°34´E), Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China, 01-Dec.-2004, from Castanopsis eyrei (Champ. ex Benth.) Tutch. (Fagaceae) , coll. Sui-Gai WEI, Guo-quan WANG & De-Wei LI. Paratypes, 4 females and 1 male, with the same data as holotype.

Relation to host: The mites are vagrants on the undersurface of the leaves, no visible damage. Etymology: The species name is derived from the name of the host plant.
