Vernacular Names: Superagui Lion Tamarin.
Distribution: Superagui Isl and a small region on the opposite mainland ( Brazil).
Conservation: CITES – Appendix I; U.S. ESA – Endangered; IUCN – Critically Endangered.
Discussion: Considered a subspecies of chrysopygus by Coimbra-Filho (1990).
