Middle Andaman Islands: Karmatang (HZM; Aul et al., 2014); Webi (Aul, 2014); South Andaman Islands: ( Dobson, 1876; Hill, 1967).

Comments

Tylonycteris pachypus has been reported from Middle and South Andaman Islands ( Dobson, 1876; Hill, 1967; Aul et al., 2014; Aul, 2014). However, we did not detect this species during the present study. The specimens collected by Aul (2014) were deposited in the collection of the Zoological Survey of India, Kolkata and also in the Natural History Museum, New Delhi. The specimens housed in Zoological Survey of India, Kolkata could not be traced, while those housed in Natural History Museum, New Delhi, got destroyed due to fire.
