Types. Holotype female (ovigerous), 15 mm, IRSNB.
Type locality. Palau Enu (as Poeloe Enoe), Aru Islands, Arafura Sea, Indonesia (~ 7°5.0’S 134°30.0’E).

Diagnostic description. Head lateral cephalic lobe large, narrowly rounded in female, subacute in male. Antenna 1 peduncular article 1 without anterodistal projection. Labrum, epistome and upper lip fused. Mandible palp article 2 anterodistal margin setose; article 3 with marginal and apical setae. Labium without apical stylets on each lobe. Gnathopod 1 parachelate; basis anterior margin with "bottle” setae; propodus posterior margin smooth. Gnathopod 2 subchelate; carpus long; propodus palm transverse, concave; dactylus not fitting palm. Pereopod 6 basis posteroventral margin rounded. Pereopod 7 basis, posterior margin slightly rounded, minutely crenate, posteroventral margin oblique, sloping inward. Epimeron 3 posteroventral corner narrowly rounded/ subquadrate. Urosomites 1–3 dorsally smooth. Uropod 1 rami subequal in length; uropod 2 rami subequal in length; uropod 3 inner ramus slightly shorter than outer ramus, reaching article 2 of outer ramus.
Depth range. 3– 83 m.
Remarks. Waldeckia enoei differs from all species in the genus in having distinctive ‘bottle’ setae on the anterior margin of the gnathopod 1 basis.
Distribution. Australia: North West Shelf, Western Australia; Great Barrier Reef, Queensland. Indonesia: Aru Island. East Timor: East coast.
