Diagnosis. Head without eyes; rostrum short, pointed, slightly directed downward; pereonal segments smooth dorsally; pleonal segments 1–3 with posterodorsal teeth; urosomal segments 1–2 large posterodorsal processes; antenna 1 peduncle article 3 embedded; antenna 1 accessory flagellum 5–articulate; mandible molar smooth protuberance with large robust setae, mandible palp article 1 as long as 2; one distal robust setae on article 2 of mandible; mandibular palp article 3 half–length of article 2, with one distal robust seta; coxa 1 slightly produced, quadrangular; coxa 4 without posterior lobe; gnathopods 1–2 propodus palmar margin convex, rounded; gnathopod 1 carpus posterior lobe 0.4 x long dactylus; pereopods 3–7 basis narrow; uropod 1 interramal robust seta present; epimeron 3 with three minute–teeth posteroventral corner; telson as long as wide, V inverted shape incised 0.3 x posterior margin, each lobe with 1–2 robust setae; and coxal gills on gnathopod 2 to pereopod 6, short, saccular.

Type species. Pseudorhachotropis longipalpus sp. nov., here selected.

Etymology. Pseudorhachotropis , from the Latin “Pseudo ” and Rhachotropis , for the likeness with this genus.

Remarks. Pseudorhachotropis gen. nov. is morphologically closest to the genus Rhachotropis S.I. Smith, 1883 .
