Lectotype (Ling in Jarvis & Turland in Taxon 47: 368. 1998): Herb. Clifford: 404, Artemisia 9 (BM-000647035).

Current name: Artemisia incana (L.) Druce ( Asteraceae ).

Note: Although Poljakov (in Schischkin & Bobrow, Fl. U.R.S.S. 26: 525. 1961; Shetler & Unumb, Engl. Ed.: 499. 2000) indicated unspecified material in Leningrad as type, this would in any case not have been seen by Linnaeus and would not be original material for the name.
