Notes.

According to Straneo (1943) the type was intended to be deposited in Tervuren. However, the specimen was not located (S. Hanot, Musee Royal de l’Afrique Centrale, Tervuren, Belgium, in litt.). Straneo stated that the specimen is labelled "Congo Belge, Eala (17-I-1921, Dr. H. Schouteden)."

Diagnosis.

Having only the first three elytral intervals impressed and a relatively large eyes (gena is only half the width of antennomere 1) distinguishes this species from all other Tiferonia .
