Material examined: 1 male, 1 juvenile, 1 fragment ( TAI) from Russia, Siberia, Republic of Altai, Turochak District, Altaisky State Nature Reserve, near cordon Baigazan, 409 m a.s.l., Padus avium , collected 3 September 2005 by M.B. Sakhnevitch.

Material re-examined: 1 male paratype ( IBSS) from Russia, Siberia, Altai Mts, Katunsky Mt. Range, Katunsky Nature Reserve, near Multa, Sredneye Multinskoye Lake, ca. 30 air-km SE of Ust-Koksa, 1,600– 2,200 m a.s.l., collected 30 July–5 August 1994 by S.I. Golovatch and A.B. Ryvkin; 1 male ( IBSS) from Russia, Siberia, Altai Province, Smolenskoe District, near Smolenskoe village, bank of Poperechka River, Salix , collected 27 August 2000 by P.S. Nefediev.

Distribution. Russia: Siberia (Republic of Altai, southeastern part of Altai Province).

Remarks. The species was originally described from the Altai Mountains; Katunsky Nature Reserve is the type locality ( Mikhaljova & Golovatch 2001). The species shows variation in gonopod configuration ( Mikhaljova & Nefediev 2003). The fresh material from the Altaisky Reserve adds information concerning the variability of this species. The distal part of the gonopod mesomere is variable in shape. It is prolonged to a different degree, or without prolongation, with an apical fovea and a minute knob, with an apical fovea and without a knob but with an apical hook in specimens from the Altaisky State Nature Reserve ( Figs 8–9 View FIGURES 8 – 18 ), Aigulaksky Mt. Range, Republic of Altai ( Figs 10–11 View FIGURES 8 – 18 ) and the Smolenskoe District ( Figs 12–14 View FIGURES 8 – 18 ), in contrast to a relatively simple apex of the mesomere in a specimen from the Katunsky Nature Reserve ( Figs 15, 16 View FIGURES 8 – 18 ). A process of the gonopod opisthomere is long, styletiform; it is placed approximately in the middle portion of the inner side of the opisthomere in specimen from Katunsky Nature Reserve ( Fig. 15 View FIGURES 8 – 18 ), in contrast to the short process of the gonopod opisthomere which is placed apically or subapically in specimens from Altaisky State Nature Reserve ( Fig. 17 View FIGURES 8 – 18 ) and Smolenskoe District ( Fig. 18 View FIGURES 8 – 18 ). Configuration of the gonopod promere is practically invariable.
