11. Sesleria robusta Schott, Nyman & Kotschy (1854: 1) View in CoL
Lectotype (designated here, possibly holotype):— [ Croatia]. Dalmatia : Mt. Promina , [s.d.] Malý , F. s.n. ( W – Host 1885–0002336). Image available at http://herbarium.univie.ac.at/database/detail.php? ID =256613.
Protologue information:— “Hab. In Dalmatia (Franc. Maly)”.
Nomenclature:— Except for the specimen deposited in W, no other original material for S. robusta could be traced. However, we cannot be sure whether other original material exists or not, so we designate the specimen deposited in W as lectotype.
Taxonomy:— Valdés & Scholz (2009) cite “ Sesleria nitida ” sec. auct. balcan as misapplied name of S. robusta . However, the records of S. nitida from the territory of Serbia refer to S. latifolia , while the ones from other Balkan countries (e.g. Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina) should be attributed to S. robusta (Lakušić & Kuzmanović, pers. obs.).
