Other Cylindroiulus species in Tunisia

In addition to C. attemsi , C.algerinus and C. mitta n.sp., the Tunisian fauna includes two further Cylindroiulus species which are not members of the C. distinctus group, viz., C. tunetanus and C. truncorum . Among other characters, the presence of a paracoxal process in both species ( Fig. 14–15 , px) definitely excludes them from the C. distinctus group, cf. also Read (2005).
