Diagnosis: Male with dark brown thorax, legs, abdomen and hairs; surstyli with distinct medial protuberances (as in Fig. 33 View FIGURES 24 – 33 ); inner genitalia ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 1 – 6 ) with phs strongly curved; tdp very long, Lmtdp:Ltdp~0.9; php absent; all ejaculatory ducts placed distally on mtdp; ejaculatory apodeme nail-shaped (as in Fig. 22 View FIGURES 12 – 23 ). Female with frontal facets moderately enlarged (J92 Fig. 2 View FIGURES 1 – 6 C); frons strongly narrowed, at narrowest point 1.0–1.5 times diameter of largest frontal facet; flagellum dark brown; legs dark brown but base of femora may be paler; pulvilli of all legs of same size, shorter than distitarsus; hairs on femora, thorax and abdomen dark brown; hind femur with apical hairs of pdsr extending as far as apex; abdominal tergites dark brown; ovipositor as in Fig. 59 View FIGURES 49 – 62 . Annotations: Originally described from the female only (holotype and Greek paratype studied), the male can be assigned for the first time here. The taxon is Chalarus spec. A in Kehlmaier (2003), where it was briefly discussed. The species can readily be identified by its terminalia in both sexes. No host records are known.
