Diagnosis. The species is easily distinguished from other species in C. gladiata complex due to the paler ground coloration of the wings and the more contrasting forewing medial region, the less curved transversal lines on both wings, and the medial part of the corpus bursae, which is incised with longitudinal wrinkles.

Distribution and phenology. Endemic to Taiwan. The adults occur from June to August.
