Leuconia armata Urban, 1908

This was described by Urban (1908: 24) and found again by Brøndsted (1931: 38) and Borojević (1967) along the eastern and southern coasts of South Africa. The species is a Leucandra with as most characteristic feature microdiactines surrounding single large diactines protruding from the surface.
