Material examined: Greece: Crete: 1 ex. [head reddish], Lassithi, Psychros cave , 850 m, 24.IV.-3.V.1980, leg. Heiss (cAss) ; 1 ex. [head black], Thrypti , 1000 m, 18.IV.1990, leg. Heiss (cAss) .

Comment: This variably coloured species has been recorded only from Crete, where it is widespread and not uncommon ( ASSING 2005). For additional recent records see ASSING (2013, 2015).
