Type material

Holotype, one mature specimen (12 × 3 mm) as serial histological sections of the reproductive system (three slides), remaining part of body as whole mount (one slide); YPM No. 47939. Collected 3 June 2006 at 4 m depth from a reef in St Ann’s Bay , Jamaica 18°45.514 N; 77°22.416 W.

Distribution

Known from the type locality, and also from Belize, Honduras, Florida, US Virgin Islands, Panama, Curaçao and Dominica. Also reported from Brazil (J. Bahia and V. Padula , Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, personal communication and Figure 4N View Figure 4 ) .
