Material: 1 male, AUSTRALIA: SE Qld., Mt. Glorious, Malaise trap, 13.ii.1961, leg. L. & M. Gressitt ( BPBM). 1 male, PAPUA NEW GUINEA, NE, Telefomin, 1460m, light trap, 4–7.ix.1963, leg. R. Straatman ( BPBM).

Remarks. The species was previously only known from the holotype from New Guinea. This is the first named species from continental Australia, but Jaschhof & Jaschhof (2010: 37) mentioned an unnamed species from Queensland.
