Group of ghilianii . Medium-sized and large species with medium-sized or large eyes. Frontal striation of head not extending to nuchal carina, vertex largely smooth and shining. Petiolar node variable, in most species somewhat axially compressed, but often fairly thick as seen from the side. African (and southern Spanish) species ghilianii , traegaordhi , angolensis , maynei , and rothschildi , plus the peninsular Indian species, rufus . Needs further revision of species.
