Current name: Filago pyramidata L. ( Asteraceae ).

Note: Although apparently first published in Syst. Nat., ed. 10: 1235. 1759, the Errata of that work makes it clear that “germanica” is an error for “pyramidata”, the latter being the third species of Filago in both the 1753 and 1759 accounts. Filago germanica L. therefore dates not from 1759, but from 1763, where it is a later homonym of F. germanica Hudson (1762) . This has been elucidated by Wagenitz (in Willdenowia 4: 48. 1965).
