Gobius brunneus Temminck & Schlegel, 1845 View in CoL . The species was considered a junior synonym of Glossogobius giuris View in CoL by Koumans (1953). The species is now recognised as a valid species of Rhinogobius View in CoL (see for example Suzuki et al. 2017).
