REMARKS

Forest (1974: 79) has designated two other specimens, a male and a female, collected by I. Marche- Marchad near Dakar as paratypes. These specimens are presently missing in the collection. Paratype MNHN-B21991 is also missing.

HOLOTYPE (by original designation). — MNHN-B7835, Senegal, near Dakar, stn 11, 15- 20 m, 22.I.1941, P. Budker & T. Monod coll., ♂ 25.0 × 27.5 mm, abdomen and 2 pereopods detached, Guinot det. Sternodromia monodi .

REMARKS

The specimen was mentioned by Monod (1956: 67, as Dromia nodosa , nº 4) and Forest (1974: 96, as Dromia monodi ). This species will be referred to Sternodromia Forest, 1974 in a paper on Dromia and allied genera in progress by one of us (DG).
