Type host: Turdus merula Linnaeus ( Passeriformes : Turdidae ). Type locality: Poland.

Material examined. One female (FMNH uncatalogued) from Turdus migratorius Linnaeus ( Passeriformes : Turdidae ), USA: Georgia, Green Co., 22 February 1968, coll. J. Taylor, specimen in FMNH.

Hosts and distribution. Turdus merula Linnaeus (Turdidae) from Poland (Skoracki et al. 2000; Skoracki 2011), Germany ( Schmaschke et al. 2003) Russia ( Bochkov et al. 2009), Jordan ( Glowska et al. 2007), T. migratorius Linnaeus [new host] from USA ( Georgia) (present paper), T. philomelos Brehm from Poland ( Skoracki 2004c), Germany (Skoracki 2011) and Jordan ( Glowska et al. 2007), T. torquatus Linnaeus from Slovakia (Skoracki 2011), and T. viscivorus Linnaeus from Romania and Poland ( Skoracki 2004c).
