Synonyms in the area: Thoa patagonica d’Orbigny, 1846  [polyp].

Remarks: this is the unique record of this doubtful, unrecognizable, species. Distribution in South America: polyp—Atlantic Ocean, Argentina, at Río Negro (d’Orbigny 1846; Blanco 1994a).
