South America ( Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, French Guiana, Guyana, Peru, and Venezuela).

Remarks

Acalypha poiretii is reported here for the first time from Peru (Cusco) based on the collection Gay, M.Cl. s.n.; P[P04838744].
