Notes

This lichen was encountered growing on sandstone and parasitically on Caloplaca trachyphylla (Fig. 13) in the shade of a large rock due northeast of MDRS. Acarospora stapfiana has been previously reported from Capitol Reef National Park ( St. Clair et al. 1995).
