TYPE LOCALITY: "it was without any habitat". Fixed by Coetzee (19776) as " Cape Colony" .

DISTRIBUTION: South Africa, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Botswana, Namibia, Malawi, Zambia, Angola, Zaire, Rwanda, Burundi, Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya.

SYNONYMS: africana Peters, 1865 ; bechuanae Roberts, 1931; doggetti Thomas and Schwann, 1904; flavistriata Bocage, 1865 ; lebombo Roberts, 1931; transvaalensis Roberts, 1926.
