Type material. Holotype: female, ARGENTINA: “Republique Arg ne, Rio-Parana, Territoire des Missions”, “Coll on Le Moult, Naturaliste. Paris, Collection Wagner” ( MNHN).

Diagnosis: P. wagneri Pic, 1923 can be differentiated from P. inhumeralis by the shape of genitalia and by presenting humeral portions yellow.

Redescription: Body with ventral surface dark brown. Head dark brown, eyes small, interocular distance 1.2x of eye diameter. Antennae subserrate, antennomere 4 almost as long as 5, 1.4x longer that antennomere 3. Mandibles stout, labial palpi short, maxillary palpi elongate, palpomere 4 about as long as 2, palpomere 3 half of palpomere 4 length. Pronotum subpentagonal, 1.25x wider than long medially, widest at basal margin with posterior angles projected laterally and remnant of median carina apically, median line channeled in basal half.

Pronotum with lateral margins yellow and longitudinal triangular dark brown spot medially. Scutellum dark brown, oblong, slightly constricted at midlength, with distal notch medially. Elytra dark brown, with yellow humeri and transverse band in ⅔, pubescent, each elytron with 9 costae, primary costae stronger, regular reticulate cells subsquare. Prosternum and mesosternum trapezoidal. Legs compressed, femora and tibiae dark brown, trochanters triangular, light brown, femora as long as tibiae, 3.7x longer than trochanter. Female genitalia with broad coxites, presenting short oblique fissure at proximal half of internal margin. Valvifers almost parallel-sided. Styli half of coxites length, proctiger subsquare ( Fig. 8 View FIGURE 1 – 12 ). Body length: 10.0 mm, humeral width: 3.0 mm.
