3. Ponera apicalis   HNS .

P. nigra; antennis mandibulis pedibus abdominisque apice ferrugineis.

Female. Length 31/2- lines. Black: the antennae, mandibles, legs and apex of the abdomen ferruginous; the head finely shagreened. Thorax oblong-ovate, finely longitudinally rugulose; the sides of the metathorax coarsely rugose, the truncation transversely striated; the scale of the abdomen incrassate, rounded above, transversely striated in front and behind; the abdomen smooth and shining, with a thin fine grey pubescence.
