Holotype ♂, paratype ♀, Hubei, Shennongjia 31°45´N, 110°20´E, 2012-8-11, collected by Fang-Qiang Zheng GoogleMaps .

Male Body small in size. Head shorter than pronotum. Face oblique in profile. Frontal ridge nearly parallel. Antennae ensiform, 20 segmented, extending distinctly over hind margin of pronotum. Eyes oval, vertical diameter 1.8 times horizontal diameter and 1.6 times length of subocular furrow. Pronotum median keel visible, distinctly cut by hind transverse sulcus, lateral keels almost parallel, prozona 1.6 times metazona in length. Tegmina extending over the middle of hind femur, apically concave in the middle, maximum width of cubital area 1.9 times minimum width of medial area. Interspace of mesosternum widened distinctly backward, length 3.6 times minimum width. Lateral lobes of metasternum separated. Upper keel of hind femur smooth, length of hind femur 5.0 times its maximum width, end of lower knee lobes angular, inner side with 98 stridulatory pegs. Hind tibia with 12 spines on inner and outer sides, external apical spine absent. Second metatarsus shorter than the first. Tympanum large and round. Cercus long conical, almost reaching tip of epiproct. Furculae large, circular at apex. Subgenital plate long conical, length 2.1 times width. Epiphallus wider between two posterior projections.

Female: Body more robust than male. Vertical diameter of eyes 2.1 times horizontal diameter and 1.2 times the length of subocular furrow. Prozona 1.6 times metazoan in length. Tegmina short, extending slightly over the hind margin of 1st abdominal tergite, length 2.8 times its maximum width. Interspace of mesosternum widened slightly backward, length 1.5 times minimum width. Length of hind femur 6.4 times its maximum width. Cercus short-conical, not reaching end of epiproct. Subgenital plate long, length 2.1 times width, hind margin angulated in the middle. Upper ovipositor valve longer, length 2.8 times maximum width, with small teeth on outer margin.

Coloration: Body brown. Antennae yellow. Pronotum yellowish-brown. Tegmina of male without a white stripe on the fore margin at base. Tegmina of female with a black longitudinal stripe in the middle. Abdomen yellowish-brown, with a broad dark longitudinal stripe on both sides. Subgenital plate brown.

Measurement (in mm): Length of body: ♂ 22.0, ♀ 32.0. Length of tegmen: ♂ 12.8, ♀ 4.3. Length of hind femur: ♂ 11.6, ♀ 17.4.

Diagnosis. The new species is similar to M. mistshenkoi Chogsomzhav, 1974 . The major differences are listed in Table 1 View TABLE 1 .

Etymology The specific epithet is named for the type locality, Hubei.
