DISTRIBUTION: Sierra Nevada Mtns of C and N California and extreme WC Nevada ( USA).
SYNONYMS: pinetorum Merriam.
COMMENTS: Subgenus Thomomys . Revised by Johnson and Benson (1960); Thaeler (1968«) provided details of distribution in N California.
