Diagnosis.

Songthela males can be distinguished from those of all other heptatheline genera by the conductor with the proximal portion relatively narrow, the distal portion with one or two apical spines (Figs 3B, E View Figure 3 , 5B, E View Figure 5 , 7B, E View Figure 7 ); by the distal of the embolus slightly sclerotized, with a wide and flat opening (Figs 3C, D View Figure 3 , 5A, D View Figure 5 , 7A, D View Figure 7 ); and by the contrategulum with a serrate margin (Figs 3C, D View Figure 3 , 5A, D, G View Figure 5 , 7A, D, G View Figure 7 ). Songthela females differ from those of all other heptatheline genera by four receptacular clusters with smooth surface, the median ones with relatively long sturdy genital stalks, four receptacular clusters along the anterior margin of the bursa copulatrix or the lateral ones situated dorsolaterally (Figs 3H-J View Figure 3 , 5H View Figure 5 , 8A-D View Figure 8 , 8I-L View Figure 8 , 9A-D View Figure 9 ).
