Notes: Valenzuela-Lopez et al. (2018) introduced Neopyrenochaeta to accommodate N. acicula as the type species. Currently, there are 11 Neopyrenochaeta species , namely N. acicola , N. annellidica , N. cercidis , N. chiangraiensis , N. chromolaenae , N. fragariae , N. inflorescentiae , N. maesuayensis , N. telephoni , N. thailandica and N. triseptatispora ( Index Fungorum 2021 , Mapook et al. 2020). Both sexual and asexual morphs have been recorded ( Valenzuela-Lopez et al. 2018, Mapook et al. 2020).
