Vernacular Names: Orange-throated Bat.

Synonyms: Lampronycteris platyceps Sanborn 1949 .

Distribution: Oaxaca ( Mexico) to Guyana, French Guiana and Brazil; Peru; Trinidad.

Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Lower Risk (lc) as Micronycteris brachyotis .

Discussion: Includes platyceps ; see Jones and Carter (1976). See Medellín et al. (1985).
